Memorial Day   May 30, 2022

Florence Elks #1858 held their Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday, May 30,2022. Linda Sylvester, the Esteem Loyal Knight did a fabulous job orchestrating the ceremony. Our Guest Speaker, Ken Henderson, V.F.W. Chaplain told stories of the first Memorial Day and remembering the Veterans we have lost. The Color Guard from the V.F.W. performed the flag ceremony and Taps. Florence Elks members Danny Wright sang God Bless America accompanied by Howard Ziebell, organist.  The Ladies of Elks served refreshments to conclude the ceremony.
The Coast Guard spread the many wreaths afloat in memory of our fallen heroes at the Memorial Ceremony at the Veteran's Memorial Park.
