John Gale, Bill Morgan, Don Jordan, Phil Olson, Len Larson, Ed Berentsen, Dan Palos, Gary Covert, Dick Toole and Michal Anne Fletcher were among the many Veterans that were honored. Also on the flight was West District Advisor, David Olheiser, PER of Springfield Lodge #2145. The Honor Flight Network’s mission is to celebrate America’s veterans by inviting them to share in a day of honor at our nation’s memorials. The Network’s vision: A

 nation where all of America’s veterans experience the honor, gratitude, and community of support  they deserve.

OREGON HONOR FLIGHT

Carl Middleton of Florence Elks Lodge #1858 had the honor of participating in the Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. We are so proud of him! Carl's daughter Denise Champagne, Florence Elks Lodge's secretary accompanied him and other fortunate Veterans on this wonderful excursion.

HONOR FLIGHT LUNCHEON
July 19, 2022  

Hosted by FLORENCE ELKS LODGE #1858, the luncheon was quite a success. With a generous donation of $1200.00 from the Ladies of Elks, the event raised over $2300.00, with all of the proceeds & donations going to the Honor Flight Network.

ODGE #1858


Band of Brothers hosted Ed Bock, Executive Director of the South Willamette Valley Honor Flight, honoring our veterans for their service & sacrifice. They offer Honor Flights to eligible veterans living in Lane, Lincoln, Linn & Benton Counties. To date, the Honor Flight has made 18 Honor Flights with 814 veterans. They have sent 49 veterans to Washington DC to experience their memorials in 2022, including Florence Elks own

Sylvestor, Gary Vawter, Chuck Pennington & his wife Terri.
Pictured above are some of the many veterans that have been on the Honor Flight. Veterans who served ANYTIME, ANYWHERE, between the beginning of World War II and the end of the Vietnam War (12/7/41 to 5/7/75) are encouraged to sign up for the flight.
